Answer: Study his System, but Don’t Buy!
Socrates Socratous sells PLR, Resell Rights and Software products. And, he claims to have a E-mail list of over 250,000.
But even with this success, Socrates still occupies the second rung of the Internet Marketing Ladder. He is not a “Big Name Guru,” but he hopes to become one of the “Internet Marketing Elite” with a new project that he is releasing.
His new project is called, Resell Rights Fortune, and this system is advertised to be the only database system of its kind in the world.
Of course, if this concept proves to be successful, other Internet Marketers will create “knock off” systems in a matter of months.
Creating a “knock off” would be easy. The pirate marketer would just have to hire a few workers from the Philippines at $3.00 per hour to download everything that is available on the site, and create database entries for each product.
However, there are some flaws in the system.
For one thing, the system is heavily weighed with Internet Marketing products. Marketing folks operating in some other niches will find the selections are sparse or non existent. For example, a search for products in the “Chiropractic” niche produced no products…neither MRR or PLR.
For another thing, the minimum price for these products seems to be $7.00. However, a search for the same product on TradeBits determined that the same product can be purchased for $1.97 on sites such as TradeBit.
The flaw with this membership system is that the value of Resell Rights products tend to sink to next to nothing.
I watched this phenomenon on eBay where I acquired plenty of MMR and some PLR products for as little as $0.01.
Of course, eBay figured out that these low-valued products were being “sold” to build feedback rankings, and stopped the sale of download-only eBooks, MMR products, and PLR products.
The products were being given away to build E-mailing lists. In fact, this is a strategy that you still can use with the eBay Classified
The other flaw is that the PLR products are often of low quality.
I am rewriting a PLR product now to use in the Chiropractic Niche.
This product lists the author as John Rizcwitz.
But, John didn’t write this PLR eBook. He is an outstanding writer. His Blog lists testimonials from copywriting greats such as…
- Michel Fortin
- Ken McArthur
- Brian McElroy
- Vin Montello
- Mike Morgan
- Bill Vick
The PLR eBook is low-quality, the formatting is poor, the grammar substandard, the cliches abundant, and the organization shallow.
What I think happened is that this is one of those, “How to make a product in three hours” projects. Some high-priced Marketing Gurus conducted a “sales pitch in disguise teleconference” and had their off-the cuff comments transcribed. Then, the “product” was sold. Later, when sales sagged, the “product” was turned into a PLR product to drain more financial life out of it.
But, I can’t put my name on such a product, even though I have the license and rights to do so. I have to rewrite and reformat the entire eBook before I will put my name on it as the author. (You know what, I will be the author of the new edition!)
So, being thinking that a membership in Socrates Socratous’ Resell Rights Fortune is the quick path to “Easy Money Street,” as his presell videos say they are…is wishful thinking.
Check out the offer, study how Socrates structured his product launch, but, exercise due diligence before purchasing the membership subscription. You can obtain better value for your eBook business by searching elsewhere, and developing your own product database.
