eBook directories are Websites that house free eBooks. These eBooks are usually put there by whoever owns the copyright to promote affiliate products.

Each eBook has the owners byline placed in it so that those who eventually read the eBook will know who wrote it (or at least who owns it). This byline enables future readers to contact the author, or to visit the author’s Website for further information.
